We're multipotentialites.
If you've never heard the word before, you're not alone. Emilie Wapnick coined it for people who don't stay neatly in one lane. They collect interests. Careers. Skills. Chapters. Sometimes all at once.
We're both card-carrying members.
Looking back, none of those chapters was a detour. Every one taught us something about people: how they think, how they make decisions, how they learned to talk about themselves, and how the words they've inherited aren't always the words they'd choose today.
01● The people we've known
Between us, a rather full range of relationship experience.
musicians, writers, marketers, tech snobs, executives, professional organizers, realtors, grocery-store clerks (because when you're a foodie, the produce aisle absolutely counts as a relationship), software developers, and the occasional person who just needed someone to make sense of things.
kindergartners, grade-schoolers (and their parents), artists, school administrators, engineers, technology executives, wealth managers, realtors, fabulous bosses (mostly), bankers who wanted to do business with her, and bankers who thought she'd be better off at home.
She remembers which was which.
Somewhere along the way we realized we'd both been doing the same work under different job titles.
